With a huge range of experience under his belt, Muizz is also adept at learning new systems - having already taught himself React, Unreal Engine, and fullstack development. What drew you to join Bear?

‍

I really wanted to expand my knowledge into the software industry by exploring new avenues, tech stacks, and team environments. From the interviews at the start, I could tell Bear was a great place for my career - along with the amazing work culture!

How did you get started in software development? What appealed to you?

‍

I started software development from making small 2D games. Despite there being no actual coding in those initial steps, I found I was really passionate about finding creative ways to solve problems. Software development allowed me to express this creativity at my fullest potential, allowing me to make bigger games, projects, websites and so much more!

What part of your work are you most enjoying so far?

‍

Team culture! The camaraderie, support, and overall team attitude all bring about healthy habits and a feeling of community. From steps challenges, pet convo channels, endorsement systems online, and Bear socials, there’s always something for everyone here to enjoy!

What are your words to live by professionally? 

‍

Pursue your passion and work will feel like a hobby.

‍

And of course, what’s your favourite article of furniture? 

‍

I would say my favorite furniture would be desks. With so many variations with standing desks, L shaped desks, etc. you get a lot of variety to customize where you sit or stand!

‍

What’s your go-to downtime activity?

My go-to downtime activity revolves around the gym. Other times if the gym is too much, I settle with walks outdoors!
