Michelle is an expert communicator with experience across multiple industries, and passionately works to build positive merchant experiences in everything she does. Let’s get to know her a little better!
What are you most excited about as you join Bear?
I’m most excited to be joining such an incredibly motivated and hardworking team! I’m looking forward to learning from everyone here and being able to contribute to the success of Bear and our customers.
What drew you to sales? What makes a great salesperson?
I’ve spent most of my professional career working in customer support and success roles. I really didn’t imagine myself in sales until I really got invested in figuring out how I could contribute to strengthening communications between customer success and sales in a previous role. I quickly learned that sales is all about building positive customer experiences so I thought I’d give it a try. Here I am now with a few years of sales experience and I’m absolutely loving the interactions and conversations I get to have with people everyday. To me, many things can make up a great salesperson, but passion for what you do is my number one.
What are your first moves when you’re starting on a new team?
I like to learn as much as possible about how the organization functions as a whole. My first moves are figuring how to be successful in my role and learning about everyone else’s role on a new team. I think this is super key as it helps us understand who we are working with so we can collaborate effectively.
What are your words to live by professionally?
Never stop being curious!
What’s your favourite article of furniture? Favourite down time activity?
My kitchen island! I love to entertain friends and family at my home and my kitchen island has become quite the social spot. I love gathering around the island with some good food, drinks and company. I realize this makes complete sense for me as someone who will always be at the snack table at social events.
We can't wait to hear, "ISLAND-ed a deal!"
Welcome to the team, Michelle!
